Display and Design
The S25 Ultra features a massive 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen that remains the industry benchmark.
- Anti-Glare Mastery: The "Victus Armor" glass coating significantly reduces reflections, making it vastly more legible outdoors than competitors like the iPhone 16 Pro.
- Ergonomics: While still a "slab-of-glass," it is slightly lighter (218g) and has more rounded side rails, making it easier to hold than its predecessor.
- Durability: The grade 5 titanium frame and Gorilla Armor 2 have shown excellent resistance to micro-scratches and drops in long-term testing.
Camera Performance
The quad-camera system is versatile and reliable, though it faces stiff competition from Chinese brands in pure hardware innovation.
- Main Sensor: A 200MP wide lens delivers exceptional detail for large prints.
- Zoom: The 50MP 5x telephoto lens is a standout for distant text and low-light zoom, outperforming the iPhone's 12MP zoom sensor.
- Ultrawide: A new 50MP sensor improves macro photography and low-light performance.
- Video: Supports 8K recording on multiple lenses, though some reviewers noted contrasty or "blown-out" colors compared to the Google Pixel 10 Pro.
Performance and Software
The phone delivers an elite software and hardware experience, driven by its new chipset.
- Elite Chipset: The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, which provides incredibly fast animations and flawless multitasking.
- One UI 7/8: The software has iOS-like fluidity and customizability through Good Lock. It also features a cleaner layout for notifications and quick settings.
- Galaxy AI: Includes features like Circle to Search, Transcript Assist, and Generative Edit. Some users find the dual-assistant setup (Bixby and Gemini) slightly disjointed.
- S Pen: This is the only integrated stylus on the market. Note that Bluetooth remote features were removed, so it no longer works as a remote camera shutter.
Battery and Charging
Samsung continues to deliver reliable all-day (and then some) battery life with the S25 Ultra.
- Endurance: The 5,000mAh battery typically lasts 1.5 to 2 days of moderate use, often ending the day with 20–30% charge.
- Charging: It supports 45W wired charging (0% to 100% in under an hour) and Qi2 wireless charging.
- Missing Feature: It still lacks built-in magnets for MagSafe-style accessories without a specialized case.
